"Dr. Silvester, DPM did a great job on my bunion and fixing the issue of not being able to feel the last two toes on my right foot. My foot is now straight and almost pain free. I had surgery May 20, 2020. It takes, as I was told by the good doctor, up to a year and a half for the foot to fully heal. It is taking that long. I can bend my foot somewhat and have been back riding my road bike, however, the foot is NOT working as it did pre-surgery. Bunions are no joke, the surgery is brutal and the healing time is long. If you know this going in and take care of yourself, the pain and deformity of the bunion will be history, but I am writing this as full warning- it "ain't" easy! My foot looks good, however, I do often wonder why I didn't have any physical therapy to help in the healing as I still cannot bend my foot. I should ask! So, buyer beware...the surgery is tough but your doctor is great."
