Dr. Van Pelt graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She attended Podiatry school at Temple University and furthered her training with a surgical residency at St Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania. There, she received extensive surgical training. Including limb salvage, trauma, reconstructive surgery, as well as a wide variety of elective surgeries.

Dr. Van Pelt truly cares about her patients and loves seeing them getting better. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment for each of her patients. She believes it is her privilege to be involved in the medical and surgical care of each patient. She is passionate about Surgery, Limb salvage, and Sports Medicine. 

Dr. Van Pelt is originally from Brazil and speaks English and Portuguese fluently. She loves exploring new cultures. She enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities with her husband. She has a beautiful daughter and she loves spending time with her family. She is excited to continue her career in Texas and is thrilled to be an integral part of her new community.
