How Surgery Provided Relief for Ankle Pain

First doctor did not want to do surgery, he wanted to do an insert of my shoe and do a trial period to see how that goes, then put me on a medication, but I said, “No. I needed relief now.”

So I came to Dr. Silvester, that’s when we talked it over with me and my husband, and that’s when he performed the surgery. Dr. Silvester said that there was no cartilage in my ankle, whatsoever. So that’s when he fused the bone, put the screw, and, now I’m on the road to recovery.

It’s been 5 months since I’ve had my last surgery, and I think I’m getting around pretty well. I play with the kids, I haven’t started exercising quite yet, but I’m going to get back into that. I can mow my grass, before I couldn’t. I went on vacation, I went to see my in-laws in Georgia. I walked around tons and never had a problem with my foot. Had an awesome Christmas and just spending time with my kids. I can actually move around without feeling so much pain!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Silvester to anybody who has any kind of foot problems. When I went to the doctor, to Dr. Silvester and finally had all of this done, if I would have known that it would have been so much relief, I would have done this a long time ago!

I can . . . I don’t even know how to describe it to you. I can move again! I mean, don’t get me wrong, I could before but now it’s no pain. I would have done this a long time ago if I would have known that it would have relieved so much of my pain. So I would definitely recommend Dr. Silvester!
